NICE 2020 has been postponed to March 2021
The safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. We are sorry to announce that NICE 2020, scheduled to be held on March 17-20 2020, has been postponed to a later date due to the current COVID-19 situation.
We will provide more information on the new dates (likely not earlier than September) shortly. We thank you for your understanding.
All paid registrations will stay valid for the new dates.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Please contact [email protected] with any questions you may have.
History – just for info
As of 2 March 2020 we still planned to hold the NICE 2020 in Germany as planned.
The Heidelberg University, the host of the NICE 2020, requires it its “Information about the Coronavirus — Recommendations for action and behaviour“, that visitors as well as researchers, staff and students from risk areas (German language page) to work from home for 14 days. We therefore need to require, that all participants of NICE, who have been in a risk area since March 1st 2020 do not attend in-person, but via video conference / web-stream.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention maintains the page Coronavirus Disease 2019 Information for Travel. In case that Germany is moved to the Alert Level 2 list (“destinations experiencing sustained community transmission”) the NICE 2020 would be cancelled.
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control maintains a COVID19 risk assessment page.
Option: Attendance via Streaming / Video conference
Registered participants will have to option to attend the meeting via Web Streaming and will have the possibility to ask questions in the Q&A parts of the meeting via video conference. It is expected, that a few speakers will give their talk via video conference.
